Peters and Cheung Ltd has been engaged by McConnell Dowell Ltd and Ross Reid Contractors Ltd as its design consultant to design a bridge abutment and approximately 95m long retaining walls for the SH 1 South Bound Off Ramp bridge near Mercer Township.
The ground is soft. The bridge abutment and the retaining wall will be constructed using light weight pumice sand and mechanically stabilized earth, MSE, retaining wall system to address the settlement and stability issues.
The project is currently under the design phrase.
